David Hyde Pierce is an award winning actor and director best known for his eleven-year run in the role of Dr. Niles Crane on the television show Frasier. For more than thirty years he has had another role, working with CaringKind and the Alzheimer’s Association as an advocate, spokesperson, supporter, and friend. He has raised funds and awareness for research and care, testifying before congress, performing, and speaking at fundraisers in Los Angeles, New York, and around the country, and representing caregivers on the first advisory board of the National Alzheimer’s Project Act in Washington, D.C. Of his many theater and television awards, he is proudest of the Isabelle Stevenson Tony Award, which honored his work as an advocate for those living with dementia and recognized the immense importance of our cause.
